The Veterinary Team

There are four Veterinary surgeons working in the practice. We all have our own particular areas of interest and this gives the practice a very broad sweep of skill and expertise.

Robert Whitworth

I qualified from Cambridge in 1979 and came to Felixstowe in 1983.

I enjoy all aspects of Medicine and Surgery and the diagnostic challenge that working with animals provides.

My current pets include a chocolate Labrador called Jimi who takes me out for walks and a rather ancient Tortoise called Fred who has a rather more independent take on life.

Julie Plumb

I qualified from Cambridge in 1976 and after a variety of jobs came to work in Felixstowe in1987.

I enjoy the variety of general practice and have special interests in exotics and in the use of acupuncture for pain relief.

In 2007 I reduced my working hours to spend more time with my Sheep.

Jamie Whittle

I qualified from Liverpool in 2002 and after a short spell working in Liverpool I moved down to Felixstowe.

As well as my Veterinary interests I have a keen interest in all forms of sailing and water sports.

I live by the coast with my wife two Children and a dog called Big.

Catherine Boden

I graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in 2006.

I moved to Suffolk and started working at Whitworth Veterinary Practice in June 2007.

At Home I have a cat called Bailey and a Bearded Dragon (see picture) called Izzy. I have always had an interest in exotic species particularly reptiles.
